Worth Mathewson has written articles for more than forty magazines over the past thirty years. He has successfully hunted all the native upland and shore birds in the United States and Canada; thirty-two species in all. Aside from bird hunting, he enjoys collecting Confederate postage stamps, fly fishing, trapping, rebuilding old motorcars, and brewing ales and porters. He lives in Oregon.
