Worth Mathewson
Years 1877 - 1910
Forward by Harold F. Duebbert
In Volume III of Old Wildfowling Tales, Worth Mathewson provides a series of articles about duck and goose shooting as it was done in years gone by. Hunters who wrote articles used a descriptive style of writing seldom found in current outdoor publications. They will provide enjoyable reading for dedicated waterfowlers during leisure times at home or in a hunting camp.
Worth Mathewson has written articles for more than forty magazines over the past thirty years. He has successfully hunted all the native upland and shore birds in the United States and Canada; thirty-two species in all. Aside from bird hunting, he enjoys collecting Confederate postage stamps, fly fishing, trapping, rebuilding old motorcars, and brewing ales and porters. He lives in Oregon.
